Kinzler Materials Delivers to Large Commercial Project

Heartland Finishes hired Kinzler Materials to deliver materials to Iowa State University’s new building: Therkildsen Industrial Engineering Building.

Kinzler Materials in Ames, Iowa was hired by Heartland Finishes to deliver materials to Iowa State University’s new building built by Story Construction: Therkildsen Industrial Engineering Building. The materials delivered to this large commercial project consisted of metal framing, glass mat sheathing, Insulation, and drywall.

The Therkildsen Building, named in honor of Iowa State Graduates C.G. “Turk” and Joyce A. McEwen Therkildsen, is located on the southwest side of Howe Hall on campus. According to Iowa State University, their $42 million lead gift for the facility is the largest gift for an academic building in Iowa State University’s history! It will be the home of Iowa State University’s Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering.

The new building will feature an advanced manufacturing lab, a human factors and ergonomics teaching and research lab, along with data-intensive engineering analysis and visualization lab for teaching and research.
